OWNER/PRESIDENT

Robert Boehm is the President of Ascend Roofing and Contracting Inc. He is 36 years old. Robert’s career in construction started at age 14 working as a carpenter during weekends and summer months through high school. He graduated from Eastside high school in Covington GA in 2006, then attended GA State University-Perimeter College as a full-time student in the evenings while working a full-time position at Premier Platforms in Conyers GA during the day. He received an Associate of Science Degree in Business and went on to study mechanical engineering. Early into his study of engineering his father was diagnosed with late-stage cancer so he left school to return to work full-time at his father’s construction company in 2008. As his father’s cancer spread and became terminal, he was forced to seek new employment and started as an entry level fire sprinkler system designer at Central Fire Protection in Conyers GA. He had developed a background in design utilizing AutoCad during his time at school so that coupled with his construction experience allowed him to grow quickly in the fire protection industry. He worked in the design/project management role at Central Fire Protection from early 2010 to late 2018 designing and managing various projects from small retrofits of existing buildings to new installation of large warehouses up to 1,000,000 square feet, some full of flammable storage. After a series of test and years of real-life experience he obtained his Level 3 NICET (National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies) certification for water-based systems layout and advanced hydraulics working his way up to lead designer within the company. He loved the details and complexity of the job but was hungry for more. Upon leaving Central Fire Protection in late 2018 he started a career as a project manager/sales representative with a local general contractor, JACO Contracting, based in Covington GA. He developed a passion for sales and realized his strength in project management. His main focus was residential and commercial roofing but managed various different types of construction projects during his time working for JACO. He worked there for 6 years and was a top sales producer from start to finish. His unwavering commitment to his clients and attention to detail paved the way for success. He decided in 2024 that it was time to take control of his future and started Ascend Roofing and Contracting with his brother and business partner, Kyle Boehm. When he’s not working, you’ll likely catch Robert spending time with his wife Shelby and their two children: Norah and Jax. He enjoys coaching his son’s baseball team and cheering on his daughter as she performs at horse shows.

Kyle Boehm is the Vice President of Ascend Roofing and Contracting Inc. He is 32 years old. Kyle started working in construction at age 16 as a carpenter doing various types of projects on weekends and during summer months. He graduated in 2011 from Alcovy high school in Covington GA. Unfortunately, a few months after graduating high school his father passed away so dreams of going away to college as a full-time student were altered and his priority was making sure his widowed mother was taken care of at all costs. After high school Kyle started Boehm Landscape Management, a residential landscape company that he operated from 2012 to late 2019 while going to GA State University – Perimeter College part time. His landscape company allowed him the flexibility to take some weekdays off for classes and catch up by working the weekends. From 2013 to 2015 he was a crew leader for Perimeter Landscape Management in Eatonton GA, a commercial landscape company, while he also operated his residential landscape company after hours and on weekends. During this time working two jobs he was able to maintain classes and somehow find time to study. In 2017 he graduated from GSU with an Associate of Science Degree in Engineering. He was accepted to GA Tech and started attending full-time in 2017 studying civil engineering. He graduated from GA Tech in 2019 with the highest honors (Summa Cum Laude) and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering with a sub-discipline in structural engineering. Prior to graduation and after he received dozens of career opportunities from engineering and contracting companies across the US. He accepted a position as a project engineer at Haines Gipson and Associates in Lawrenceville, GA. He was responsible for developing structural drawings for new industrial and warehouse facilities ranging from 100,000 to 1,000,000 square feet along with schools, retail developments and large-scale renovations. He worked at this design firm from January 2020 to November 2022 when he decided to join his brother as a project manager/sales representative with a local general contractor, JACO Contracting, based in Covington GA. He took to this role quickly and ended his first year with one million dollars in residential sales and earning an award as a top producer within the company. Residential and Commercial Roofing was his main focus, but he managed various types of projects in addition to roofing including but not limited to gutter installation, siding installation, fencing, storm damage restoration, water mitigation, framing, concrete, decks, flooring, interior repairs, and painting. In his spare time, you’ll find Kyle spending time with his wife Jessica and their son, Parker. He’s a new dad so he’s very excited to watch his son grow and to guide him along the way!
